Trifari

Trifari, established in 1910 by Italian immigrant Gustavo Trifari, has become a celebrated name in the world of costume jewelry. Gustavo, hailing from a lineage of jewelers in Naples, Italy, brought his family's craftsmanship to the United States, founding the company in New York City. Initially collaborating with his uncle under the name "Trifari and Trifari," the partnership was short-lived, and Gustavo continued the venture independently. In 1925, he partnered with Leo Krussman and Carl Fishel, rebranding the company as "Trifari, Krussman, and Fishel" (TKF). This collaboration set the stage for Trifari's ascent in the costume jewelry industry.

A pivotal moment in Trifari's history was the recruitment of French designer Alfred Philippe in 1930. With experience at prestigious houses like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, Philippe introduced refined designs and innovative techniques to Trifari. His influence led to the creation of iconic pieces featuring intricate stone settings and high-quality materials, elevating the brand's reputation. Notably, Trifari was among the first to copyright their jewelry designs, a practice that underscored their commitment to originality and quality.

The enduring appeal of Trifari jewelry lies in its timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship. The brand's dedication to design excellence and meticulous attention to detail have resulted in pieces that remain highly sought after by collectors and fashion enthusiasts alike. Incorporating Trifari pieces into our collection enhances its value, offering a tangible connection to a legacy of style and sophistication that continues to resonate today.
