Collection: Gaetano Chierici

Initially influenced by the Neoclassical style of his uncle, Alfonso Chierici, and Adeodato Malatesta, Chierici's exposure to the Macchiaioli movement in the 1860s shifted his focus towards realistic genre scenes. He specialized in detailed depictions of domestic life, particularly emphasizing the playful and innocent antics of children. His participation in the 1869 Brera Academy Fine Arts Exposition marked a significant milestone, earning him critical acclaim and a dedicated following among art collectors.
